Thanks for posting this! My mom always made these on new year’s eve, along with appelflappen (apple fritters) and sometimes banana fritters.
She always used “sukade” (candied citrus peel) instead of fresh apple, which may not be absolutely traditional but its the BEST 🙂

After fishing out of the pan, first let them drip off on kitchen tissue. And then the powdered sugar. But do have a try without the sugar.

Put the powdered sugar in a small brown paper bag and then throw in a couple of oliebollen and shake it all about!
